Dandara Pagu is a Brazilian actress, activist, producer, and digital communicator known for her strong advocacy for human rights, especially those of Black women. Born in Recife, Pernambuco, she gained international recognition as the first Brazilian to be featured as the app icon for the social media platform Clubhouse.
As an actress, Pagu has appeared in films such as Once Upon a Time Veronica (2012), Love, Plastic and Noise (2013), and the short film O Nosso Pai (2022). Beyond her acting career, she is a prominent cultural figure, serving as a columnist for "Mina Bem-Estar" and the creator of the "Vaca Profana" carnival block in her hometown. Pagu is known for her candid and empathetic approach to communication, often discussing her personal experiences with surviving abuse and using therapy to overcome emotional pain, all while advocating for anti-racism and body positivity. She prefers the term "communicator" over "influencer," believing her role is to share information and foster dialogue on a wide range of topics, including culture, politics, and sexuality.
