Born on February 4, 1984, in Kyiv, Ukraine, Oksana Borbat is a versatile actress and model known for her work across independent cinema, international horror, and theater. She first gained international attention for her role in the 2007 cult horror sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill, where she portrayed the haunting "Beautiful Woman Ghost".
Borbat’s breakthrough into critical acclaim came shortly after with the 2009 Lithuanian drama Duburys (Vortex). Her performance as Mashka earned her the prestigious Silver Crane (Sidabrinė gervė) award for Best Actress, establishing her as a serious talent in Eastern European cinema.
Throughout her career, she has remained active in both film and stage. She was a prominent ensemble member of the Wild Theater in Ukraine from 2016 to 2019, appearing in productions such as Tom À La Ferme and Herkules und der Stall des Augias. More recently, she has appeared in films like the comedy Zustrich odnoklasnykiv (2019) and the 2023 production Ukrainian Style Robbery. Following the outbreak of war in Ukraine, she relocated to Amsterdam, where she continues to pursue her acting career and engage with the European cultural community.
