Full Biography
Born as Mariya Aleksandrovna Fomina on March 1, 1993, in Moscow, Russia, the actress originally dreamed of becoming a professional ballerina and trained at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography. Her career path shifted toward acting at age 11 after she was cast in an episodic role in the film Daddy (2004). She went on to study at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), graduating in 2014 from the workshop of Oleg Kudryashov.
Fomina has since become a prominent figure in Russian television and film, gaining international recognition for her role as Vika in the series 257 Reasons to Live (257 prichin, chtoby zhit). Her diverse filmography also includes the thriller Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite (2015), the British-French spy film Our Kind of Traitor (2016), and the popular drama series Gold Diggers (Soderzhanki). In addition to her acting work, she has explored directing and screenwriting with projects like the short film Hangover (Pokhmele).
