Full Biography
Lenna Kuurmaa (born Sept. 26, 1985) is an Estonian singer-songwriter and actress who rose to prominence as a member of girl group Vanilla Ninja before launching her successful solo career. After the band's hiatus in 2009, she released her debut album 'Lenna' under Mortimer Snerd Records, with all songs co-written and produced by Vaiko Eplik.
Kuurmaa began her musical journey at age five, joining the ETV Lasteekraani Muusikastuudio choir. She performed internationally in Italy, Netherlands, Finland, and more. She studied violin at Tallinn Music School (2000-2006) under Urvo Uibokand and received vocal training from Ester Lepa and Ludmilla Issakova (1997-2002). In 2002, she competed in Fizz Superstar, reaching the quarter-finals. That same year, she formed Vanilla Ninja.
Post-Ninja, Kuurmaa acted in films like 'Where Souls Go' (2007) and TV shows such as Kelgukoerad (2010), Vuosaari (2012), Üksik saar (2012), Tupiktänava mehed (2012-2014), and Kättemaksukontor (2017).
