Full Biography
Pamela Rooke, better known as Jordan, was born in Seaford and emerged as a seminal figure in London's punk scene. A Vivienne Westwood model, she embodied the capital's rebellious aesthetic, her image immortalized in Derek Jarman's films 'Sebastiane' and 'Jubilee', where she played the iconic punk anti-heroine Amyl Nitrate. Rooke also made waves as a Sex Pistols associate, appearing with them on Granada TV's "So It Goes" in 1976, sporting an infamous "Only Anarchists Are Pretty" tee. Her influence extends beyond the stage; she managed bands and acted throughout her career, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to punk's subversive spirit.
