Eva Maria May was born on 8th of may 1985 in Germany. May was almost born on a plane maybe that's why she is absolutely into traveling and discovering unknown places and cultures and is always looking for new inspiration. She grew up in Berlin/Germany where she also started studying acting in the age of 17. From that on she began to star in German movies and took part in the most successful series of German television. The TV series "About Kate" that was produced as a french/German cooperation for the international TV channel "ARTE", directed by Janna Nandzik in which she played the extraordinary character "Melanie Thamheim" was nominated for the most important Awards in Germany included the esteemed "Grimme Price Award". The German TV Serie "Sturm der Liebe" produced in the world famous "Bavarian Filmstudios" in Munich/Germany that millions of people watch every day and that is screened in whole Europe and more than 22 countries in which Eva Maria May played an ambitious double part won the "German Television Award" for the best TV Serie in 2010. The Roadmovie "Cruz Verde" directed by Sandra Birkner in which May played the main part was produced and shot in Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Spain and France and was screened at film festivals worldwide, won the "Special Sponsorship Award" at the "Blicke Filmfestival" 2013 in Germany. Eva Maria May loves the possibility of diversity by choosing her roles and always reaches for the biggest challenge by creating a new character. This great passion started in her childhood when she decided really early to become an actress. As a kid she used to say :" If I'm going to be an actress I'm able to experience every profession I can imagine. So I don't have to choose only one profession for my entire life.".
