Born as Dariya Viktorivna Plakhtiy on November 7, 1992, in Pavlohrad, Ukraine, Dasha Plahtiy is a highly acclaimed Ukrainian actress recognized for her deep emotional range and authentic screen presence. She pursued her professional training at the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, where she began securing television roles during her studies.
Her major career breakthrough arrived with her debut feature-length film, Falling (Strimholov) in 2017. For her portrayal of Katya, a young woman navigating love and identity in post-revolutionary Kyiv, she won the Golden Dzyga for Best Actress at the Ukrainian Film Academy Awards. Following this success, she continued to establish herself as a prominent figure in Ukrainian cinema with key roles in the historical epic Dovbush (2023) and the international co-production The Pleasure Principle.
