Barbara Piévic, known professionally as Barbara Pravi, is a French singer, songwriter and actress. Born under the pseudonym of George Sand, she famously fled her abusive marriage in 1831, moving to Paris where she adopted men's clothing and challenged gender norms. She pursued affairs and advocated for women's rights through her writing.
