Born on September 29, 1987, in Lille, France, Anaïs Demoustier has established herself as one of the most versatile and acclaimed actresses in contemporary French cinema. Her career began at a young age when she was discovered during a drama class, leading to an early role alongside Michel Serrault in Marty's World and a significant performance in Michael Haneke’s Time of the Wolf (2003).
After being twice nominated as the Most Promising Actress at the César Awards for Les Grandes Personnes and Living on Love Alone, Demoustier reached a career milestone in 2020 by winning the César for Best Actress for her portrayal of a young philosopher in Alice and the Mayor (Alice et le maire). Her international profile has continued to grow with roles in major productions like the 2024 epic The Count of Monte-Cristo, which earned her a 2025 César nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
