Full Biography

Elizaveta Boyarskaya was born on December 20, 1985, in Saint Petersburg (then Leningrad), Russia, as Elizaveta Mikhailovna Boyarskaya. Growing up in a famous family of performers as the daughter of actors Mikhail Boyarsky and Larisa Luppian, she initially intended to pursue a career in journalism before discovering her passion for the stage.

She studied at the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Dramatic Arts under Lev Dodin, graduating in 2007. Boyarskaya quickly became a leading figure at the Maly Drama Theatre and gained international recognition for her role as Erna Flegel in the Oscar-nominated film Downfall (2004). She further solidified her status as one of Russia's most prominent actresses with starring roles in the historical drama Admiral (2008) and as the titular character in Anna Karenina: Vronsky's Story (2017). For her contributions to the arts, she was officially named a Merited Artist of the Russian Federation in 2018.

Story
