Story
The movie 'Starsky and Hutch' follows two detectives from the LAPD's Narcotics Division: Dave Starsky (Ben Stiller) and Ken Hutchinson (Owen Wilson). They are assigned to go undercover at Bay City College to bust a drug ring operated by a criminal named Reese Feldman. Posing as students, they infiltrate the college and its fraternity scene, eventually befriending Feldman's daughter, Christina (Amy Smart), who is unaware of her father's illegal activities. As Starsky and Hutch become immersed in their undercover roles, they struggle to maintain their professionalism while dealing with various challenges, including a rival fraternity, a shady college dean, and their growing affection for Christina.
Summary
'Starsky and Hutch' is a 2004 comedy film directed by Todd Phillips. It's an adaptation of the classic 1970s television series 'Starsky and Hutch,' which was known for its blend of action and humor. The movie stays true to the spirit of the original show, following the buddy cop formula with Stiller and Wilson portraying the titular characters with a mix of comedy and action sequences. Despite being set in modern times, the film retains the retro-inspired soundtrack and fashion sense reminiscent of the series' era.
