Story
A collection of artifacts from Egypt is brought to the Louvre Museum in Paris. During examination using laser scanning technology, an ancient evil spirit named Belphégor escapes and infiltrates the museum's electrical system. Curator Faussier brings in Egyptologist Glenda Spencer who identifies the mummy inside a sarcophagus as Belphégor. Lisa, a woman living across from the museum, accidentally encounters the spirit when her cat runs off into the building after hours. The spirit enters Lisa's body, causing her to believe she is Belphégor and that the Egyptian treasures displayed at the Louvre are rightfully hers. She starts stealing these artifacts while disguised as Belphégor. Museum security proves ineffective against her, prompting renowned detective Verlac to be brought out of retirement to investigate.
