Penélope Cruz Sánchez, born on April 28, 1974 in Alcobendas, Spain, is a renowned Spanish actress known for her prolific work in both Spanish and English-language films. She began her acting career at age 16 on television and made her feature film debut the following year in 'Jamón Jamón' (1992). Cruz has worked with notable directors such as Pedro Almodóvar, appearing in films like 'Live Flesh', 'All About My Mother', 'Volver', and 'Pain and Glory'. She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Woody Allen's 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' (2008). Cruz has also modeled for brands like Mango and Ralph Lauren, designed clothing for Mango with her sister, and been a house ambassador for Chanel since 2018. She is the only Spanish actress to have won an Academy Award and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
