Fairuza Balk (born Fairuza Alejandra Feldthouse; May 21, 1974) is an American actress and musician. She made her theatrical film debut as Dorothy Gale in Disney's 1985 film Return to Oz. Balk also appeared in Valmont, The Craft, The Island of Dr. Moreau, American History X, The Waterboy, Almost Famous, and Personal Velocity: Three Portraits.

Story
American History X follows Derek Vineyard, who after serving three years in prison for killing two African-American men, returns home determined to keep his younger brother Danny from following his violent path as a white supremacist skinhead gang leader. Through Danny's narration, we learn that Derek's past actions significantly influenced him. Upon release, Derek severs contact with the gang and strives to distance himself from his former ways.
