Amandla Stenberg, born October 23, 1998, is an American actress who started her career as a child and gained recognition for playing Rue in The Hunger Games (2012). As she aged, she appeared in Sleepy Hollow (2013-2014), Everything, Everything (2017), and received praise for her role in The Hate U Give (2018). She has also acted in Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) and will appear in Star Wars: The Acolyte (2024). Outside acting, Stenberg debuted musically in 2015 with the folk rock duo Honeywater and sang 'Let My Baby Stay' for Everything, Everything. Known for her activism towards LGBT youth, she was featured on Time's list of most influential teens in 2015 and 2016.
