Summary

Carmen (2022) is a drama directed by Benjamin Millepied that combines elements of the classic opera 'Carmen' with contemporary socio-political themes. Set along the USA-Mexico border, the film follows Carmen's journey from her Mexican home to the United States, where she faces harsh realities and dangerous challenges. Despite its musical roots, the movie is more of a gritty drama that explores the harsh truths of immigration and survival.
