Story
In the small, religious town of Bolo, Ohio, five young friends find employment at the local movie theater, The Elysian Fields. One day, they discover a mysterious film reel hidden in the basement, which they decide to watch together. To their surprise, the film contains explicit content and unleashes an otherworldly entity, an alluring succubus named 'Porno'. This demonic creature begins to possess and manipulate the teens, turning them into willing participants in a series of violent and sexual encounters. The group struggles with the consequences of their curiosity as they attempt to understand and control the supernatural force they have unleashed.
Summary
Keola Racela's 'Porno' is a horror comedy that blends elements of sexploitation films from the 70s with a modern, self-aware sensibility. Set in the small-town Midwest during the 1990s, the film explores themes of sexuality, curiosity, and consequence through its ensemble of teenage protagonists. The movie's unique premise combines religious horror with erotic thrills, resulting in a bloody and provocative narrative that challenges conventional notions of morality and innocence.
