Allison Smith began her career at age nine on Broadway, starring in 'Evita' and later as Annie for over 1,000 performances, making her the longest-running and youngest star of a Broadway musical at that time. She performed vocally at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and The White House. After 'Annie', she played Jennie Lowell on 'Kate and Allie' for six seasons. Smith recurred in seven seasons of 'The West Wing' as Mallory O'Brien, Sam Seaborn's love interest. She also starred in miniseries like 'Helter Skelter' and films such as 'Holes'. Born in New York City and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, she has also written and performed in various theater productions.
