Story

The daughter of a man on death row falls in love with a woman on the opposing side of her family's political cause.

Summary

In 'My Days of Mercy', Lucy, an impassioned activist against capital punishment, crosses paths with Mercy, a young lawyer advocating for the opposite side while supporting her policeman father at a protest outside a prison slated to execute a mentally disabled man. Intrigued by Mercy's intellect and charisma, Lucy looks her up online upon returning home to Martha, her elder sister who's been their caregiver since their mother's unsolved death eight years ago, and baby brother Ben. Lucy learns Mercy is a lawyer working on death penalty cases, including her own father's impending execution for the crime Lucy believes he didn't commit. Despite their differing views, the two women are inexplicably drawn to each other, sparking an unlikely connection that challenges their convictions and blurs the lines between justice and compassion.
