Natasha Richardson (1963-2009) was an English actress known for her roles on stage and screen. Born into the prominent Redgrave acting family, she was the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richardson. Richardson began her career playing Mary Shelley and Patty Hearst in films before earning critical acclaim for her Broadway debut in 'Anna Christie'. She won multiple awards for her role as Sally Bowles in the 1998 revival of 'Cabaret'. Notable films include 'Patty Hearst', 'The Handmaid's Tale', 'Nell', 'The Parent Trap', and 'Maid in Manhattan'. Richardson was married to Liam Neeson from 1994 until her death, with whom she had two sons. She died in 2009 following a head injury sustained during a skiing accident.

Story
In the outskirts of London, psychiatrist Dr. Max Raphael and his wife Stella move with their son Charlie to run an asylum. Stella's curiosity about one of her husband's inmates, Edgar Stark, grows into a passionate affair after she encounters him during her son's visits. Edgar, a sculptor, was found guilty for murdering and disfiguring his former wife in a fit of jealousy. Their secret relationship continues until Edgar escapes from the asylum, forcing Stella to make a difficult decision between her family and her illicit love.
