"German actress Christina Plate, born in West Berlin, burst onto the scene at age 15 with her debut role as Kleine in the film Asphaltnacht (1980). Afterward, she embarked on a flourishing television career. At 17, she secured the recurring part of Betinna Hohmann in Manni, der Libero (1982), followed by her first adult role as Irmgard Eyssen in Ein Klasse für sich – Geschichten aus einem Internat (1984-1985). Plate's signature 'dirty laughter' and notable performances in TV movies like Mord im Spiel (1985) as Ines Kaar, Der Jungemit dem Jeep (1986) as Charly, and Lyle (1990) as Egon, contributed to her growing fame. Her role in Derrick (1994) as Anna Bender created a stir with its revealing scene, showcasing Plate's physique.
