Story
The movie 'Si te dicen que caí' (1989), directed by Vicente Aranda, is a narrative that unfolds primarily through flashbacks of stories known as 'aventis', told by Catalan kids amidst the ruins during the post-Spanish Civil War era. These tales are an eclectic mix of war stories, local gossip, comic book characters, fantasy, and real events. In the mid-80s, a doctor and a nurse-nun, who grew up together and now work at the same hospital, identify the corpse of one of the main characters from their childhood 'aventis'. The discovery of this body, long presumed dead, leads to other surprises and unresolved doubts, unraveling secrets that span several decades.
