Full Biography

Alexa Ellesse PenaVega, born August 27, 1988, is an American actress, singer, and pianist. She was born to Colombian father and American former model mother Gina Rue in Miami, Florida. Vega has six siblings including actress Makenzie Vega. She moved to California at age four. Vega gained fame as Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids films and starred in Ruby & The Rockits on ABC Family. She married film producer Sean Covel in 2010 but divorced in 2012. In 2013, she became engaged to actor Carlos Pena Jr., whom she married in 2014. Vega is fluent in Spanish and enjoys freshwater fishing.
