Story
In 1970s Los Angeles, private detective Holland March (Ryan Gosling) investigates the apparent suicide of a fading porn star, Misty Mountains. His investigation leads him to believe it's a homicide instead, and he teams up with another private eye, Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe), who was hired to beat up March by an unknown client. Together, they uncover a conspiracy involving a stolen pornographic film that could bring down the Los Angeles crime underworld.
Summary
Nice Guys is a neo-noir comedy directed by Shane Black and set in the vibrant 1970s of Los Angeles. The film follows Holland March, an alcoholic detective with a dry sense of humor, as he investigates a suicide case that turns out to be a murder. Alongside him is Jackson Healy, another private eye who initially seems like a rival but becomes his unlikely partner. The story is filled with hilarious banter between the two leads and is lighthearted despite its neo-noir roots.
