Story
Lilyhammer follows the story of Frank 'The Frog' Tagliano, a former New York mobster who enters witness protection in Norway after informing on his associates. He chooses to live under the name Roy Hulkvik and moves to Lillehammer, a small town known for its skiing. Initially, Frank attempts to integrate himself into Norwegian society while maintaining his criminal connections from afar. However, he finds it challenging due to cultural differences and the limited opportunities for his former line of work in Norway.
Summary
Lilyhammer is a Norwegian-American television series that blends comedy with drama, exploring the life of an ex-mobster in witness protection. The show is notable for its unique setting in Norway and its exploration of culture shock as Frank struggles to adapt to his new life while trying to maintain his old connections. Although it's a crime drama at heart, Lilyhammer often leans into situational comedy due to the stark contrast between Frank's past and his present circumstances.
