Story
Goto, l'île d'amour (1969) follows the journey of a simple thief who resides on the isolated island of Goto, ruled by a tyrannical dictator. The thief begins to rise through the ranks of society, from his initial criminal activities to eventually becoming a fly-catcher and dog-keeper. Meanwhile, he also takes up the role of boot polisher.
