Story

Sandro, a middle-aged Roman man, finds himself drifting through Venice during Carnival after separating from his wife of sixteen years due to their escalating arguments. On his first night away, he sees a photograph of a nude woman who resembles his wife, Laura. Intrigued, Sandro sets out to find the model, whose name is Riri. He discovers that Riri is a prostitute and looks very much like Laura but has a completely different personality and lifestyle. Throughout the carnival season, Sandro struggles to determine whether he's dealing with two separate women or one woman with two distinct personas. The film culminates in a masquerade ball where reality and illusion blur, leaving Sandro questioning what is genuine.

Summary

Nudo di donna (1981) is an Italian comedy-drama directed by Alberto Lattuada and Nino Manfredi, starring Nino Manfredi as the titular character Sandro. The film explores themes of midlife crisis, identity, and the blurring line between reality and illusion, set against the backdrop of Venice's vibrant Carnival celebrations. Although plot details are scarce in provided sources, 'Nudo di donna' appears to be a complex narrative about a man's search for his wife's doppelganger amidst the masquerade and revelry of Venetian carnival.
