Full Biography

"At age seven, Amanda was captivated by acting but didn't commence formal study until attending Vasa High School in Gävle, Sweden. Post-graduation, she spent a year working at a power plant before committing to an entertainment career, subsequently studying at Fridhems Residential College and Luleå Drama College. Following recurring roles on TV series like Rebecka Martinsson (2017), The Restaurant (2019), Tunna blå linjen (2021-2024), and Riding in Darkness (2022), Amanda secured her debut feature film role, starring as Stormskerry Maji in 2024. Notably, this performance involved several nude scenes alongside Linus Troedsson, hopefully paving the way for future on-screen appearances of her full figure."

Story

In the mid-19th century, Maja and Janne relocate to the rugged, storm-tossed island of Stormskerry in search of a better life. As they adapt to their new environment and raise a family, Maja finds herself challenging traditional gender roles, embracing the idea that women can be equal partners rather than mere bystanders. However, their peaceful existence is disrupted when war arrives on the island during the Crimean War. Janne is forced to flee from English troops, leaving Maja and their children imprisoned. The family faces numerous hardships, including financial struggles and loss of life. Despite these challenges, Maja remains resilient, choosing to stay in Stormskerry even as years pass.
