Her international recognition came in 2017 when she starred in the film Las hijas de Abril, playing the role of Valeria. This performance earned her the CANACINE Award for Best Female Breakthrough and the Ariel Award for Best Female Revelation. In 2019, Ana Valeria appeared in Muerte al Verano as Lucy.
