Nancy Valen is an American actress and television producer, widely recognized for her role as Captain Samantha Thomas on the popular 1990s series Baywatch. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she began her career as a photo model at age 12. Her acting career gained traction with a regular role on the soap opera Ryan's Hope and notable appearances in films like The Heavenly Kid and Loverboy. In addition to her acting work in numerous television series, including Friends, Full House, and Miami Vice, Valen also moved into production. She co-founded Windmill Entertainment, which produced series for the TV Land network, and has worked on other reality and scripted projects. A recent public appearance saw her join other Baywatch cast members at a docuseries premiere in August 2024.
