Rebecca Gibney, born Rebecca Catherine Gibney on December 14, 1964 in Levin, New Zealand, is a renowned Australian actress with roots in New Zealand. She began her acting career in Australia during the mid-1980s. Gibney made her film debut as Sally in 'Among the Cinders' (1984), an adaptation of Maurice Shadbolt's novel. The film follows Nick, who runs away to his grandfather after blaming himself for his friend's death and losing his virginity to Gibney's character, Sally.
